The Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI) has welcomed the Queensland Governments coverage announcement to make the uptake of zero-emission autos extra accessible and inexpensive to consumers within the state.

It has doubled the incentives for zero-emission autos for eligible consumers from $3,000 to $6,000 and elevated the ‘dutiable worth’ from $58,000 to $68,000.

FCAI Chief Govt Tony Weber says the announcement is an extension of the Queensland Authorities’s present electrical car technique that features commitments throughout a spread of areas together with fleet purchases and funding in recharging infrastructure.

“By growing client incentives, the Queensland Authorities has acknowledged that affordability is the best barrier to EV uptake,” Weber says.
